No. Bakuchiol is a plant-derived cosmetic active with its own distinct chemistry. It is not retinol, though it is often chosen for routines focused on visible texture and tone.
Can I use it under sunscreen?+
Yes. Apply 1–2 drops, allow the oil to settle, then follow with moisturiser if desired and broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning.
Can I combine it with retinoids?+
Many routines can accommodate both, but introduce products gradually. If your skin is sensitive or you use prescription skincare, ask your healthcare professional.
